DAVID A. CARTES; FROM SALT LAKE CITY

RECYCLED MATERIALS: It is a corner where we use recycled materials to make or build something. These weeks we are trying to make an insect.
SELF EVALUATION
That is a new corner. When we finish our work we must go to this corner with one classmate and ask questions or answer questions about our work of art. There are questions about the artist, about the process and about the results. It is a self evaluation.
Vanessa Mckeown
Are you ready to meet the first artist? There will be a corner about her work. I think you will love it!
ART BY VANESSA MCKEOWN
Vanessa Mckeown is a photo illustrator from
London (The UK). She is a young freelancer that creates colorful food imagery.
She uses everyday objects, collected from the house and the garden. With some
humour, she makes ordinary objects extraordinary. She introduces herself on her
website (http://www.vanessamckeown.com/about/) :
“Hey! I’m Vanessa,
I
love to make things and photograph them”
Talented House (TH)

TH: Can you introduce yourself?
VM: I'm 26 years old and I live with my cat. I studied graphic design.

TH: What does creativity mean to you?
VM: I think it comes from the heart. It's important to feel free and not worry if it's the right way or wrong way. If you created it then it must be good!

Vanessa also gives advice: "If you're moving into the art/design
world, grades aren’t important. It’s the work that counts. Do what you
love and everything will have a way of working itself out."
